Big ups to the whole crew at Whisk & Ladle, and especially to Nick.
Not familiar with W&L? You can check out some photos I took at at their Photojojo event last December here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/603to212/sets/72157611869328970/ They are THAT fun and THAT amazing to roll with.

GPOYITWTONY… Gratuitous Picture of Yourself In This Week’s Time Out New York.
I read about 20 magazines a month (which is about one millionth of what’s going on in print). I stop at Barnes and Noble every Friday afternoon from noon to 2ish to read about five or six new issues from a rotating list of publications. Heavy on current events, visual arts, lit journals, food… with an occasional odd ball thrown in; just to see what’s going on in the world of cigars or big cars or video games.
I have never read Time Out New York. This is the fourth time I’ve been in the mag in the last two years. Twice for W&L, once with A Razor, and now this. My roommates and I were described as “self-proclaimed foodies” and I am still occasionally swallowing my own vomit whenever I think of this. I have sent an email, I assure you.

Oh don’t be modest. Say it loud and proud: I AM MARK. I AM FOODIE.
PS: Fabulous photos! The lighting is ravishing.
